(PEORIA, IL September 21, 2018) – Caterpillar, Inc. has certified Muir Omni Graphics as a Gold level Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) facility. This is the 13th year of certification – and 5th consecutive year of attaining Gold level status. Certification recognizes suppliers that exhibit excellence in their process control, are committed to on-going improvement, and continually provide quality products to their Caterpillar customers especially in its commitment to Caterpillar’s objective to implement a culture for “zero-defects” across its supply base.

The Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process provides the means for recognizing supplier quality excellence while clearly communicating their expectations for a world-class supply base. This process combines industry-proven quality system and process management requirements from ISO/TS16949:2002 with demonstrated results to ensure expected supplier capacity and performance. Recognition levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, reflected in order of increasing difficulty, distinguish outstanding supplier quality performance.
