FAQ
Q: What are typical turnaround times and minimum order requirements?
Our standard quoted lead time is 21 working days. However, we can work with more urgent deadlines on a case-by-case basis. We typically impose minimum order quantities up to 10 or 25 based on product design and project criteria. It may be significantly larger for unique bulk applications such as decals on a roll.
Q: How do you approach pricing?
We approach pricing with our customers’ needs in mind. Typically, we provide predetermined price brackets, allowing for discounted piece pricing as the order quantity increases. That being said, our team is more than willing to work with you to find the pricing structure that works best. Our typical minimum order quantity is 10 pieces. Unique pricing and quantity requests are not out of the ordinary, and our team is happy to review any request that comes our way.
Q: What label materials are available?
We have many material options available to engineer custom products to meet your specific requirements. Our engineering team will work with you to understand application needs and make design decisions based on material performance ratings. Some core materials considered for industrial decals are as follows:
Vinyl (PVC) – reflective options also available
Polyester (PET)
Polycarbonate
Polyethylene
Tyvek (tags)
Aluminum Plates

Q: What if I don’t know exactly what type of label or graphic I need?
Our team of experts is uniquely qualified to ensure you get the right label for your application. We will work with you to understand how long your label needs to last, the type of environment it will be exposed to, and what its primary purpose is. Based on this information, we will recommend the best product and material to meet your needs.
Q: Are there options for custom color matching printed decals?
Color matching vinyl decals to a painted color can offer challenges. However, we have specialized equipment that can measure color readings from a sample and link to our digital printing color management to best assess and achieve the closest match. For color matching, we provide a printed sample for you to assess and approve before production.
Q: Are your standard decals suitable for permanent applications to fabric materials?
Yes. There are many specialized adhesives available for such applications. There are vinyl materials backed with adhesives specifically designed for optimal adhesion to carpet or fabric surfaces. These materials are readily available within our supply chain and can be assigned to a specific application for custom design.
Q: Do you offer label design services?
Our processes include design capabilities. Our art department is available to work through design ideas, manipulate existing art files, or create designs from scratch. Prior to production, our design team will create a blueprint for your review and approval.
Q: Are there temporary decal options for one-time-only events or short-term applications?
Yes. We can provide various material options for short-term applications, including vinyl decals with removable, low tack adhesives; clear and opaque static cling material options; and magnetic material options. These solutions are designed to be removed without leaving residue or damaging the application surface.
Q: Are you able to print barcodes and/or QR codes?
Yes. We have the capabilities to print barcode and QR code images on most material options. These can be available in static or variable data form.
Q: Can you print tamper-evident labels?
Yes. We have materials available to us, in various colors, with tamper-proof technology. This is typically a polyester-based material with the word “VOID” embedded into the adhesive layer. If decals constructed from this material are removed, the word is left on the application surface and removed from the face of the color of the decal.
We also have destructible vinyl materials available. Those are considered for permanent applications and are designed to prevent peeling or the need for reapplication. We have the capability to print and/or cut either of these materials to meet custom design requirements.
Q: Are there decal options for high temperature environments and/or application surfaces?
Yes. Polyester-based materials typically have a higher service temperature rating than vinyl. We work with our material suppliers to maintain up-to-date technical product data sheets on all our raw materials and use this information to best assess material selection based on specific application environment circumstances as communicated by our clients.
Q: Do you offer kitting solutions?
Yes. We offer 2 basic types of kitting solutions:
Sheets: If all pieces can be made from the same material and fit onto a manageable sheet size, we can kiss-cut the individual labels onto one or more sheets of that material. This solution allows for a quicker application process, as well as quality control of total decals specific to an application. If necessary, there are mechanisms available to order the components individually as well.
Packages: We also offer manual kitting options where various different part materials and sizes can be assembled into one custom package.
There are also opportunities for an overall kit to include both kitting techniques (sheets and packages).
Q: Are you able to comply with safety standard design and color requirements?
Yes. Muir Omni Graphics is versed in ANSI Z535 standards for the definitions and color criteria related to safety messages. We also have access to the ISO standard graphic symbols library.
Q: How accessible is your customer service team if we have other questions?
During our business hours (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CDT Monday-Friday), a live person is always available to answer your call. You will not be presented with any automated questionnaires or answering services. A member of our Client Relations Team is standing by ready to answer any questions and can direct you to the appropriate contact within our organization.
