About half of all businesses don’t survive past the five-year mark,* much less the FIFTY-five year milestone. That’s why we feel so honored to recognize our recent 55th anniversary. While there are many factors that contribute to a company’s success, for us, we know that it all comes down to one thing – our people, who we consider to be family. And with our recent transition to an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), we’re all employees, family and owners.
Caterpillar, Inc. has certified Muir Omni Graphics as a Gold level Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) facility. This is the 13th year of certification – and 5th consecutive year of attaining Gold level status. Certification recognizes suppliers that exhibit excellence in their process control, are committed to on-going improvement, and continually provide quality products to their Caterpillar customers especially in its commitment to Caterpillar’s objective to implement a culture for “zero-defects” across its supply base.
“We are honored to receive this recognition and grateful to our entire team who work tirelessly to achieve and maintain the highest quality standards,” said Andrew Muir, President, Muir Omni Graphics. “Caterpillar’s key suppliers play an integral role in driving a “Zero-Defect” mentality into their supply chain management processes and culture. We are committed to delivering world-class products to Caterpillar and all our clients.”
The requirements for Gold include 98% on-time delivery performance and a PPM of less than 50. The Metrics for SQEP are measured for a rolling 12 month period.
Our employees gathered together to prepare 120 stockings and cards for the service men and women that will be spending Christmas away from their families. We are extremely proud and thankful for those serving our country.
At Muir Omni Graphics I am the Artwork Coordinator, which means I prepare artwork for production, My favorite thing about my Job Is helping create artwork for clients. When I am working on new art, there’s a chance that challenges will come up. This part I love, because being one of the first steps In our process, it gives me a n opportunity to help problem solve so that the rest of production goes smoothly. I also love seeing the Jobs we produce out In the real world. I’m able to say, “hey I was a part in making that!”
I am from Metamora, Illinois and I love to craft! I am always looking for a new project to work on. Something that most people don’t know about me is that I have been mowing lawns with my dad since I was 12. For my 11th birthday he gave me my own weed trimmer, and for my 13th I got a zero tum riding mower. We also happen to share the same birthday!
