Muir Omni Graphics announced it has achieved Platinum Level Certification as part of the Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP). The SQEP Platinum Certification is the highest level that can be attained by a Cat-certified company. This is the 16th year of certification for Muir having attained Gold certifications over the past 6 years. Certification recognizes suppliers that exhibit excellence in their process control, are committed to on-going improvement, and continually provide quality products to their Caterpillar customers especially in its commitment to Caterpillar’s objective to implement a culture for “zero-defects” across its supply base.

The Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process provides the means for recognizing supplier quality excellence while clearly communicating their expectations for a world-class supply base. This process combines industry-proven quality system and process management requirements from ISO/TS16949:2002 with demonstrated results to ensure expected supplier capacity and performance. Recognition levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, reflected in order of increasing difficulty, distinguish outstanding supplier quality performance.
Muir Omni Graphics and the safety team spread the word about putting safety first in all that we do. For many of our employees, our primary exposure to best safety practices comes from our required workplace safety training. The interactive exercises we created helped the Muir Omni Graphics team align training with our organization’s unique hazard exposures, and it was a great morale boost for the team!
