Maintain Your Image with Improved Weatherability

Don’t you hate it when your safety signage, industrial graphics, or decals start to fade, crack and peel? If you’re like most successful organizations you know that presenting a high-quality image is important to reinforcing your brand.

Whether you’re talking about decals on heavy equipment, critical signage in a healthcare setting or other graphic elements, there are two key aspects to increasing the longetivity of these materials – ink and lamination.

Ink is more important than you think!

At Muir Omni Graphics we can recommend the most appropriate production options for your messaging or branding needs. In addition to our decades of knowledge and experience with this type of production, we also have an accelerated weather test chamber that simulates the effects of time and weather on sample decals or other printed items. We’re able to replicate weathering by both duration and climate in order to ensure longevity and performance of material, inks and mounting method.

Choose lamination for the long game.

Consider your childhood for a moment and you might remember laminated documents from the classroom. Teachers know that kids can quickly damage paper materials, resulting in rips, wrinkles or smears. The adult world is similar … except now the culprits are weather, U.V. exposure, chemicals, sharp objects and rough handling. Proper lamination is a cost-effective way to extend the life of your decals, graphics and signage. We can recommend the most effective laminates and thicknesses for your unique needs.

Reach out to us today to discover how we can help your branded decals and safety signage stand the test of time!

What is the Difference Between a Sticker and a Decal?

It all depends on how you’re gonna use it.

Sticker – n. an adhesive label or notice, generally printed or illustrated.

In general, stickers are more graphical in their design and are typically applied on a smooth surface of any size.

Label – n. a small piece of paper, fabric, plastic, or similar material attached to an object and giving information about it.

Labels are used for identification or informative purposes and are typically intended to go on a surface of a specific size.

Decal – n. a design prepared on a special paper for transfer onto another surface such as glass, porcelain, or metal.

Similar to stickers, deals are more graphical in their designs, but have larger formats and are intended to be applied on walls, glass, and floors.

Happy Memorial Day
