Muir Omni Graphics has once again been recognized for its commitment to superior quality and protecting the environment by successfully achieving certification in the latest version of two internationally renowned quality standards: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
Muir Omni Graphics had been certified in ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 for the past several years. In 2015, the International Organization for Standardization announced it had updated the standards; companies certified under the older versions would have until September 2018 to achieve certification under the new standards.
Understanding the New StandardsISO 9001:2015 is the latest revision to the world’s most widely applied international standard on quality management systems. The standard helps organizations demonstrate to customers that they can offer products and services of consistently good quality; the standard also acts as a tool to make organizations more efficient at what they do. In the new version, there is an increased importance given to risk analysis and mitigation.
The new version of ISO 14001:2015 updates and extends globally recognized requirements for an Environmental Management System and recognizes companies like Muir Omni Graphics that have adopted environmentally responsible practices in their business processes.
Customer QuestionsClient Question: We have a decal design that is very small in size. The decal is used in high volumes and there have been concerns for efficient storage, application, and internal distribution to various application areas in our production line.
Solution: Small size decals often pose concerns for packaging and storage. We have found that redesigning the decal to fit multiple decals on one sheet provides a more manageable footprint for packaging and storage, as well as better pricing structure. The parts would be kiss cut on the sheet for easy removal and application technique.
